Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid

The PCM controls torque converter lock-up by delivering an output signal to TCC solenoid, located on adapter case valve body. see scheme 3 Torque converter lock-up occurs only when all of the following conditions are present

  1. Engine and transmission are at normal operating temperature.
  2. Brake pedal is released.
  3. Transmission is in 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear.

Torque Management Control Signal

The PCM delivers a spark advance output signal during transmission shifting. This reduces engagement shock caused by a change in vehicle speed.

Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid is located on adapter case valve body. see scheme 3 Component testing information is not available.
