DESCRIPTION
The high altitude emission system used in the automatic transmission equipped P'UP is similar to that used in the I-Mark. The manual transmission equipped P'UP and Trooper II use a delay check valve to control high altitude emissions.
If principal vehicle use is changed from low altitude to high altitude or vice-versa, a modification and/or an altitude adjustment will be necessary to improve engine performance and exhaust emission control performance.
LOW ALTITUDE TO HIGH ALTITUDE MODIFICATION & ADJUSTMENT
Advance ignition timing up to 4° from specification. Adjust engine idle speed to specification. Attach high altitude modification label. If engine knock occurs at high altitude, do not advance timing.

HIGH ALTITUDE TO LOW ALTITUDE MODIFICATION & ADJUSTMENT
Return engine to its original condition and remove the high altitude modification label.
