ENGINE LUBRICATION SYSTEM
A gear-type oil pump is driven by front of crankshaft. Oil pump supplies pressurized oil through a full-flow oil filter, to main oil gallery in cylinder block. Oil for camshaft bearings and hydraulic valve lash adjusters are supplied through cylinder head oil gallery. Vent valves allow air to be expelled from oil in cylinder head. (Scheme 34)
