FLOOR JACK
Position floor jack at support points shown. (Scheme 1)and (Scheme 2).
EMERGENCY JACKING
Position manufacturer-supplied jack at reinforced support points of side body panel, between front and rear wheels.
G20 & I35
Position lift blocks at support points at front and rear ends of sill. (Scheme 1) Safety stands may also be used at these points. When using safety stands, use Safety Stand Attachment (LM4519-0000) between sill and jackstand. Place sill in groove of attachment to keep sill from deforming.

Q45
Position lift blocks on reinforced support points of side body panels, between front and rear wheels. These lift points may also be used with manufacturer-supplied jack. (Scheme 2)

Front Suspension
- Inspect tires for wear and improper inflation. Inspect front wheel bearings for looseness. Measure wheel lateral and radial runout. See «WHEEL RUNOUT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153682-S13580001112003041800000) . WHEEL RUNOUT SPECIFICATIONS Application Aluminum In.(mm) Steel (Spare Tire) In. (mm) G20, I35, & Q45 .012 (.3) .039 (1.0)
- Check front suspension components for looseness. Check steering linkage for looseness. Verify front shock absorbers work properly. Measure vehicle riding height. See «RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT»(ref-153682-S09175888962003041800000) .
- Measure camber and caster. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153682-S02600845992003041800000) . If camber and/or caster are not within specification, inspect and replace any damaged or worn front suspension components.
Rear Suspension (Q45)
- Inspect tires for wear and improper inflation. Inspect rear wheel bearings for looseness. Measure wheel runout. Wheel runout should not exceed.012" (.3 mm).
- Check rear axle and rear suspension components for looseness. Verify rear shock absorbers work properly. Measure vehicle riding height. See «RIDING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT»(ref-153682-S09175888962003041800000). Measure camber of both wheels. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153682-S02600845992003041800000).
- Adjust rear wheel camber by rotating adjustment bolts. Camber changes about 5 degrees (.083") with each graduation of adjustment pin. (Scheme 3)
Scheme 3
Ensure camber, caster, and steering axis inclination are correct. Set front wheels to straight-ahead position. Bounce both ends of vehicle several times to settle suspension. Measure toe-in. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . If necessary, adjust toe-in by varying length of tie rods.
Rear Suspension
Ensure camber is correct. Bounce both ends of vehicle several times to settle suspension. Measure toe-in. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS. Adjust toe-in by rotating adjustment bolts. (Scheme 4) Toe-in changes about.06" (1.5 mm) per side with each graduation of adjustment pin.
Scheme 4
TURNING ANGLE
Note. Turning angle is not adjustable on G20 and Q45 models. Inspect and replace any damaged or worn components.
- Set wheels to straight-ahead position. Raise front of vehicle. Position turning radius gauges beneath front wheels. Lower front of vehicle.
- Rotate steering wheel right and left, observing turning radius on both wheels. See «WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-153682-S02600845992003041800000) . If turning radius is incorrect, adjust steering stopper bolt (I35 models only) as necessary. All other models are not adjustable, inspect and replace any damaged or worn front suspension components.
