Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect generator electrical connector and generator battery cable. (Scheme 15)
  3. Remove tension adjusting bolt and upper mounting bolt. Remove generator drive belt. Remove lower mounting bolt and nut. (Scheme 16). Remove generator from vehicle.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust belt tension to specification. See «DRIVE BELTS»(ref-168108-S06963520662004110100000) under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-168108-S34901190972004110100000).
