- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the crash pad garnish (A) after pulling it by using regular screw driver (-). Take care of fixing clips (C).
- Remove the center facia panel (B) after loosening the screws.
- Remove the connectors (A).
- Remove the mounting screws then remove the audio unit (A).
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
Scheme 13
- To obtain optimum performance clean the head, and capstan as often as necessary, depending on frequency of use and tape cleanness.
- To clean the tape head and capstan, use a cotton swab dipped in ordinary rubbing an alcohol. Wipe the head and capstan.

- Remove the front speaker (A) after removing 4 rivets.
- Installation is the reverse of removal.

- Remove the tweeter speaker after disconnecting the connector.

- Remove the woofer speaker (A) after removing 4 bolts.
- Installation is the reverse of removal.

- Remove the external amp (B) from the quarter inner panel (A) after removing 3 nuts.

- Remove the set top box (A) after loosening 2 bolts and disconnecting the cable and connectors.

- Remove the SDARS roof antenna (A) from the roof inner panel after loosening nut (B) and disconnecting cable (C).

- Troubleshooting for Speaker: Basic Inspection of Speaker: Inspect the sound from speaker, after verifying that the speaker mounting screws are removed and the wiring connector precisely to remove vibration transmitted from body trims and surrounding parts. Case Troubleshooting: No. 1: Trembling Sound Before replacing speaker, inspect that the mounting screws are installed normally. After reinstalling the speaker, verifying that no trembling sound is heard. When hearing a trembling sound again, replace the speaker. No. 2: Noise Check if wiring connector is connected normally. In case of radio static, check if there is noise from cassette. When a doise is heard when turning radio, cassette, and CD on, replace speaker. NOTE: If there is only radio static, this is caused by poor radio reception. Thus the speaker needs no repair and replecement. No. 3: Poor Working Inspection of the wiring connection between the battery and speaker: Before replacing speaker, inspect that the connection between the battery and speaker is normal. Check the supplying power to the speaker. And the resistance. Then inspect the sound quality Specified impedance: 2~4ohms If the speaker works poorly, replace it. Caution during dealing with speaker: Do not damage the speaker by droping or throwing. Do not get water or oil on the speaker. Be careful of the diaphram as it is made of paper and is easily torn. Modification to the audio system, for the customer, can electronically damage the speaker. Such modifications are not covered the manufacturer's warranty.

- Wrap aluminum foil (A) around the tip of the tester probe (B) as shown.
- Touch one tester probe to the glass antenna terminal (A) hear, and move the other tester probe along the antenna wires to check that continuity exists.
