General Description
Head unit is self diagnostic and control system that communicate with navigation H/UNIT, voice recognition, DVD Changer + MP3 & WMA files play, USB & iPOD, bluetooth handsfree, Body control system and information display of DIS on the MOST network.
DTC Description
This code is set when the head unit detects the inside problem by itself.
The temperature sensor of Head unit detect the temperature rising to prevent abnormal status of Head Unit.
This code is set when a temperature sensor of Head unit detect that the temperature is over 85°C, At that time Tuner & Amplifier can be abnormal status. If the temperature is around 85°C, the fan is running to make the temperature down. After cooling, Tuner & Amplifier is normal status under 75°C.

This code is set when the supplied power of Head unit is under 9V.

This code is set when the supplied power of Head unit is above 16V.
The purpose of RBD (Ring Break diagnosis) Test is localizing a fatal error in the network. The RBD-Test check a ring break position.
The XdB-Test is a process which analyzes the transmission quality of every optical segment on the MOST network Also, Head unit test the component status by Wake up line diagnosis.
This code is set when Head unit detects wake up line circuit short to ground.

This code is set when Head unit detects wake up line circuit short to battery.

This code is set when Head unit does not receive response signal from the Amplifier after sending wake up line signal to Amplifier.
GPS antenna is installed on the roof. GPS signal is transferred to the Head Unit.
This code is set when Head unit detects the line break of GPS antenna while receiving GPS signal.

This code is set when Head unit does not read the disc or DVD Changer has a mechanical or electronic problem.
The front monitor communicate with Head unit by LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) directly on the LIN communication.
The distinction of front monitor is
- A separate monitor
- 8 inch TFT LCD: VGA resolution (800 x 480 dots)
- LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal)
- Anti-Glare & Low-Reflection
This code is set when Head unit detected communication error between Head unit and front monitor.
The rear monitor communicate with Head unit by LVDS (Low Voltage Differential Signal) directly on the LIN communication.
The distinction of rear monitor is
- Monitor tilting function on right and left direction
- On Screen Display function for rear seat user
- 8 inch TFT LCD: VGA resolution (800 x 480 dots)

This code is set when Head unit detects communication error between Head unit and rear monitor.
MM (MultiMedia) CAN is composed of DATC (Air conditioner), Head unit, Media Unit (USB or i-Pod) and Rear Armrest Control. CAN is a communication system which consists of CAN_high line and CAN_low line to share system information between related control units (modules).
This code is set when each unit set CAN BUS OFF and can not send message any more.

This code is set when CAN circuit is broken in CAN_high line or CAN_low line.
(The Communication is possible even one of can line is broken.)

The components have each updated depending on the components of system, so you can use that CD for update. If you update any component, insert the served CD into the head unit and use the menu "Start update from CD" in Scan tool.

Description
The AUX JACK on the center console is for customers who like to listen to external portable music players like the MP3, iPOD and etc., through the vehicle's sound system when it is linked to this jack. The customer has this added option.
In case of distortions from media connected to the AUX source, the audio unit may not be defect but the output level of the used media does not match the specification of the AUX input.
Note. Hyundai-iPod cable must be used to iPod playback. The Apple-iPod cable supplied with the player will NOT work.
