- Connect scantool to Data Link Connector(DLC).
- IG ON or Engine ON
- Monitor the "BATTERY VOLTAGE" parameter on the scantool. Specification: Below 17.0V see scheme 1) Normal data at the idle state
- Is the battery voltage normal? YES Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in power harness (IGN+) and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to " «VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR»(ref-345903-S27853773362009102300000) " procedure. NO Go to " «TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION»(ref-345903-S42263662592009102300000) " procedure.

- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable
- Remove the floor console. (Refer to the «CONSOLE»(ref-345931-S11458692682009102300000) )
- Disconnect the yaw rate & lateral G sensor connector.
- Remove the mounting bolts (A). Tightening torque: 6.9 ~ 8.8 Nm (0.7 ~ 0.9 kgf.m, 5.1 ~ 6.5 lb-ft)
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
