DESCRIPTION
The wiper/washer system uses a 2-speed wiper motor. Intermittent wiper cycle and rear wiper/washer are also available. Front and rear washer systems use an electric washer pump. Washer pump is mounted under fluid reservoirs.
COMPONENT TESTING
Front Wiper Switch
Operate switch and check continuity between switch terminals as follows. (Scheme 1)
* With switch in "OFF" position, continuity should be present
between terminals "LOW" and "P".
* With switch in "INT" position, continuity should be present
between terminals "LOW", "P", "INT" and "Ew".
* With switch in "Low" position, continuity should be present
between terminals "LOW" and "Ew.
* With switch in "Hi" position, continuity should be present
between terminals "HI" and "Ew".
* With switch in "Washer" position, continuity should be present
between terminals "Ew" and "W".
Scheme 1
Rear Wiper Switch
Operate switch and check continuity between switch terminals as follows. (Scheme 2)
* With switch in "ON" position, continuity should be present
between terminals No. 1 and 2.
* With switch in "OFF" position, continuity should be present
between terminals No. 2 and 3.
