DESCRIPTION
The clutch is a single plate type. The clutch cover assembly uses a diaphragm spring to engage the pressure plate. The mechanically-operated release system consists of the clutch pedal, cable, release shaft, release fork and release bearing.
CLUTCH PEDAL
Turn adjusting bolt so distance from floor to clutch pedal is 7.3-7.5" (182-187 mm). Lightly pull clutch outer cable and turn adjusting nut until clearance between adjusting nut and holder is.20-.25" (5-6 mm). Check to ensure pedal free play is.8-1.2" (20-30 mm). Clutch disengagement stroke is 5.7" (145 mm). (Scheme 1)
