DESCRIPTION & OPERATION
Power mirrors are controlled by a dual control switch located on driver-side door panel or instrument panel. The left/right switch directs current to desired mirror. The up/down and left/right switch directs current to one of 2 motors located in the mirror/motor assembly.

ALL MIRRORS INOPERATIVE
Check for blown fuse or fusible link. See WIRING DIAGRAM . Check power mirror switch ground. Check power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTING. Check for bad switch connections.
ONE MIRROR INOPERATIVE
Check power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTING. Check mirror motor. See POWER MIRROR MOTOR under COMPONENT TESTING. Check for open circuit between switch and mirror motors. See WIRING DIAGRAM .
POWER MIRROR MOTOR
Access and disconnect power mirror motor connector. See MIRROR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. (Scheme 3) Apply battery voltage to connector as indicated in POWER MIRROR MOTOR TEST table. (Scheme 5) If motor does not operate as specified, replace it.

POWER MIRROR SWITCH
Remove power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Disconnect harness connector and check for continuity at switch terminals with switch in indicated positions. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST table. (Scheme 6) Replace switch if it does not test as specified.

POWER MIRROR SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST
Removal & Installation
- Remove door quadrant inner cover. (Scheme 1)
- Disconnect rear view mirror electrical connector. (Scheme 3)
- Remove rear view mirror mounting screws, then remove rear view mirror. (Scheme 7)
- To install, reverse removal procedure.

Using a flat-blade screwdriver, gently pry switch from center console. (Scheme 8) Disconnect switch electrical connector. To install, reverse removal procedure.
