- Loosen the bolts (A) in the illustration, and then remove the horn pad (B).
- Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the steering wheel lock nut (B). Tightening torque: 40 ~ 50 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.0 kgf.m, 29 ~ 36 lb-ft)
- After making the marks on the steering wheel and shaft for reinstallation, remove the steering wheel using a SST (09561-11002). CAUTION: Do not hammer on the steering wheel to remove it; it may damage the steering column.

- Remove the clock sprig (A).
- Disconnect the connectors and remove the multifunction switch (A).
- Remove the bolt (A) connecting steering gear to universal joint. Tightening torque: 13 ~ 18 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.8 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 13.0 lb-ft) CAUTION: Keep the neutral-range to prevent the damage of the clock spring inner cable when you handle the steering wheel.
- Remove the steering column after loosening the steering column mounting bolts and nut. Tightening torque: 13 ~ 18 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.8 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 13.0 lb-ft)
