Security indicator does not work properly
Note. Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ). Check the connectors for poor connections or loose terminals. The system will not operate without the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code. Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code.
- Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, than wait for 3 minutes.
- Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Does the security indicator (LED) on (blink)? YES -Go to step 3. NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-336512-S40112127042009072700000) ) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-336512-S40112127042009072700000) ).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Enter the 4-digit security (anti-theft) code. Is the security indicator (LED) light out? YES -The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at audio unit and audio panel. • NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-336512-S40112127042009072700000) ) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit (see «AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION»(ref-336512-S40112127042009072700000) ).
