The heater system consists of a heater control panel, a blower unit, and a heater unit. (Scheme 1) The blower unit contains the blower motor and the fresh/recirculated air door. The heater unit contains the heater core, air mix door, and mode control door.

INCORRECT MODE CONTROL OPERATION
- Disconnect mode control motor 10-pin connector. Remove heater control panel. Individually check for continuity between ground and Blue, Light Green/White, Light Green/Red, Green/Black, Green/Yellow, Light Green/Black, Blue/Green, Blue/Black and Blue/White wires of heater control panel 22-pin connector.
- If there is no continuity, go to next step. If there is continuity, repair shorted wire(s) between heater control panel and mode control motor.
- Check for continuity in Blue, Light Green/White, Light Green/Red, Green/Black, Green/Yellow, Light Green/Black, Blue/Black and Blue/White wires between mode control motor 10-pin connector and heater control panel 22-pin connector. If there is no continuity, repair open wire(s). If there is no continuity, test mode control motor. See «MODE CONTROL MOTOR»(ref-35150-S27516714372001010900000) under TESTING.
- If mode control motor is okay, check for loose wires or poor connections and heater control panel 22-pin connector and mode control motor 10-pin connector. If connections are okay, replace heater control panel. If motor is not okay, check mode control motor linkage and doors for smooth operation. If linkage and doors are okay, replace mode control motor. If linkage and doors are not okay, repair mode control linkage and doors.
