(1) On all models except Passport, Body/Engine ID is the fourth, fifth and sixth digits of VIN. On Passport, Body/Engine ID is the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth digits of VIN. (2) Engine code is the first 5 characters of the 12 characters stamped or tagged on engine block. Unless noted otherwise, all are 4-cylinder engines. (3) Timing is controlled by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (4) Variable Valve Timing with Electronic Control (VTEC) system. (5) VTEC-E system. (6) Dual Overhead Camshafts (DOHC).
