- Remove transaxle assembly. Remove flywheel or drive plate. See CLUTCH article in the CLUTCHES Section. Pry seal from rear seal plate. Clean crankshaft seal surface and seal plate. Lubricate seal lips and crankshaft with a light coating of oil.
- Install seal with part number facing outward. Use Seal Driver (07749-0010000) to install seal into seal plate. Align hole in seal driver with pin on crankshaft. Drive seal in until driver bottoms against block. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten all nuts and bolts to specifications.
