Service Information (multi-information display)
Maintenance items, which should be serviced at the same time that you replace the engine oil (A), appear on the multi-information display. You can view them on the "Maintenance info" screen at any time.

- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Press the MENU button to go to the "Vehicle Menu" screen.
- Select "Vehicle Information" with the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display Switch, then press the Source/Enter Button.
- Press the Source/Enter Button again to go to the "Maintenance info" screen. The maintenance item(s) appears on the Maintenance Minder.
Note. The vehicle must be stopped to reset the Maintenance Minder. If a required service is done and the Maintenance Minder is not reset, or if the Maintenance Minder is reset without doing the service, the system will not show the proper maintenance timing. This can lead to serious mechanical problems because there will be no accurate record of when the required maintenance is needed. The engine oil life and the maintenance item(s) can be independently reset with the HDS.

- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Push the SEL/RESET knob repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
- Press and hold the SEL/RESET knob for about 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance item code(s) will blink, then release the knob. NOTE: If you are resetting the Maintenance Minder when the engine oil life is more than 15 %, make sure any maintenance item(s) requiring service are done before resetting the display.
- Press and hold the SEL/RESET knob for another 5 seconds. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to "100 %."

- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Refer to the «HOW TO ACCESS MAINTENANCE MINDER»(ref-595380-S06603085522014013100000) procedure, and go to the "Maintenance info" screen, then displaying maintenance item(s).
- Press the Source/Enter Button to change into maintenance item(s) reset mode. NOTE: If you are resetting the Maintenance Minder when the engine oil life is more than 15 %, make sure any maintenance item(s) requiring service are done before resetting the display. To cancel the reset mode, select "NO", then press the Source/Enter Button.
- To reset the Maintenance Minder, select "YES" with the Audio Remote/Multi-Information Display Switch, then press the Source/Enter Button. The displayed maintenance items disappear, and the engine oil life display returns to "100 %." The display will return to the Maintenance Minder, and you will see any maintenance items that are necessary for your vehicle at the next maintenance service will appear.
- Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC) See «MAINTENANCE MINDER™ MAINTENANCE MAIN ITEMS»(ref-595380-S11493609192014013100000) or «MAINTENANCE MINDER™ MAINTENANCE SUB ITEMS»(ref-595380-S23488594002014013100000) .
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
- Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the powertrain control module (PCM). If it does not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit See «PCM REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION»(ref-595374-S31779448642014013100000) or «PCM UPDATE»(ref-595375-S42937672232014013100000) .
- Select GAUGES in the BODY ELECTRICAL with the HDS.
- Select ADJUSTMENT in the GAUGES with the HDS.
- Select MAINTENANCE MINDER in the ADJUSTMENT with the HDS.
- Select RESET in the MAINTENANCE MINDER with the HDS.
- Select the individual maintenance item you wish to reset with the HDS.
If the message "SERVICE" or "SERVICE DUE NOW" does not appear more than 12 months after the display is reset, change the engine oil every year.
Note. Inspect idle speed every 160, 000 miles (256, 000 km). Adjust the valves during services A, B, 1, 2, or 3 if they are noisy. Replace the brake fluid every 3 years (independent of the maintenance messages in the information display).

Note. According to state and federal regulations, failure to do the maintenance items marked with an asterisk (*) will not void the customer's emissions warranties. However, Honda recommends that all maintenance services be done at the recommended interval, to ensure long-term reliability.
