Security Indicator Does Not Work Properly

Note. The system operates without 5-digit security (anti-theft) code. Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the anti-theft code.

  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait for 3 minutes.
  2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure. Is the security indicator (LED) on (blink)? YES -Go to step 3. NO -Substitute a known-good audio unit; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S00982886292011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITHOUT NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S23631140812011100100000) ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S00982886292011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITHOUT NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S23631140812011100100000) ). If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio switch panel; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ).
  3. Turn on the audio unit.
  4. Enter the 5-digit security (anti-theft) code. Is the security indicator (LED) out? YES -The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the audio unit and the audio switch panel. NO -Substitute a known-good audio switch panel; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio switch panel; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S27802225922011100100000) ). If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio unit; with navigation system (see «WITH NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S00982886292011100100000) ), without navigation system (see «WITHOUT NAVIGATION SYSTEM»(ref-424901-S23631140812011100100000) ).
