DESCRIPTION & OPERATION

Note. This article applies to "Old Style" "C" & "K" Series vehicles equipped with 5.7L, 6.5L and 7.4L engines. This includes the Tahoe Limited and Tahoe Z71. CAUTIONWhen battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. The Data Link Connector (DLC) is used as an access point for different vehicle diagnostic and programming functions involving the use of a scan tool.
