REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| WARNING | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove nut retaining positive battery cable to generator BAT terminal. Disconnect generator electrical connector. Remove upper fan shroud as needed. Remove drive belt. Remove mounting bolts. Remove generator. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
