Preliminary Procedure Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation . Remove the engine front splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement - Left Side .
1Stabilizer Shaft Procedure Remove the outer tie rod end from the steering knuckle. Refer to Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Inspection . Remove the stabilizer link from the stabilizer shaft. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement . Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement . Remove the stabilizer shaft through the left wheel opening.

1Stabilizer Shaft Link Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . TIP: Use the proper size Allen wrench to keep the stabilizer link ball stud from rotate while removing or installing the nut. Tighten 75 N.m (55 lb ft).
2Stabilizer Shaft Link Nut TIP: Use the proper size Allen wrench to keep the stabilizer link ball stud from rotate while removing or installing the nut. Tighten 85 N.m (63 lb ft).
