BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
The BRAKE light indicates that either the parking brake is on or there is a problem with the dual hydraulic brake system. The light should come briefly on as a system check as the vehicle is started. If the light stays on, servicing is needed.
SERVICE ENGINE SOON WARNING LIGHT
Light will illuminate briefly when ignition is in ON position as a system check and will go out after the engine is started. If this light glows during vehicle operation it indicates that service to the computerized fuel, ignition and emission control systems is required.
CHARGING SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
This light is shown as a battery symbol on the instrument cluster. It will illuminate briefly when ignition is turned to ON or START position, and should go out when the engine starts and alternator begins to charge. If light stays on or comes on when the engine is running, the battery is not being charged and the electrical system needs service.
CHOKE INDICATOR LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light will illuminate during conditions of low oil pressure, a blown instrument light fuse or a blown choke heater fuse.
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
This gauge indicates engine oil pressure, not the amount of oil in the engine. However, oil level may affect oil pressure. Under normal operating conditions, gauge should register within NORMAL range. If gauge drops below NORMAL operating band, stop immediately and check the oil level.

ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE
Gauge should register within "C" (White) range under regular operating conditions. If gauge pointer rises into "H" (Red) range, stop the vehicle, let the engine cool and check the coolant level. On vehicles equipped with digital instrument clusters, the box surrounding the temperature symbol will begin to flash if the engine coolant is too hot.
ANTI-LOCK BRAKE (ABS) WARNING LIGHT
If this light stays on after the engine is started or comes on during vehicle operation, the anti-lock brake system needs to be serviced.
