Drac (speed Sensor Buffer) Inoperative GMC Jimmy Typhoon

  1. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Disconnect DRAC connector. Check voltage at Pink/White wire terminal of DRAC connector. If voltage is not present, check fuse and Pink/White wire.
  2. If battery voltage is present, check voltage between Pink/Black and Black wire terminals of DRAC connector. If voltage is not present, check Black wire. If battery voltage is present, raise and support vehicle with drive wheels off of ground.
  3. Start engine. Place transmission in Drive. Check AC voltage between Purple/White and Light Green/Black wires of DRAC connector. If AC voltage is present, go to next step. If voltage is not present, check Purple/White and Light Green/Black wires. If wires are okay, replace speed sensor.
  4. Turn ignition off. Connect DRAC connector. Start engine. Place transmission in Drive. Check AC voltage between Yellow and Black wire terminals of DRAC connector. If voltage is not present, replace DRAC. If battery voltage is present, repair Yellow wire.
