Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) contains a microprocessor. Communication with other modules is transmitted over Class 2 serial data bus. Instrument cluster gauges and indicators are provided input from microprocessor or directly from sending units or sensors. (Scheme 1) Illumination lights, plugged into back of cluster, are serviceable, but no other components on cluster are serviceable. If any component on cluster is faulty, replace cluster.

Description
IPC monitors voltage on Tan/White wire to fuel pump oil pressure switch. DTC sets when open circuit exists on Tan/White wire.
IPC monitors crank signal input circuit on Purple/White wire. DTC sets when crank signal input circuit remains high for 60 seconds.
Ignition 0 is switched battery input. IPC checks for low Ignition 0 voltage when engine is running. Voltage should be high when ignition is in UNLOCK, RUN or CRANK positions. If Class 2 Engine Run message exists and Ignition 0 is less than 3 volts for one second or more, DTC B1367 sets.
