1Reading Lamp Assembly Procedure Carefully use a plastic flat bladed tool, and release the clips retaining the reading lamp assembly to the headliner. Grasp the reading lamp assembly and pull downward to disengage the retainers securing the reading lamp assembly to the vehicle. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1Fender Brace Bolt to Headlamp CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 2 N.m (18 lb in)
2Headlamp Bolt Tighten: 6 N.m (53 lb in)
3Headlamp Horizontal and Vertical Adjusting Cam Nut Bolt (Qty: 2) Procedure Set the cam adjusting nuts to the nominal setting of 6 turns off fully seated prior to installing the new headlamp assembly. Check the front bumper fascia to headlamp finish fit and adjust the cam nuts accordingly to achieve an even fit.
4Headlamp Assembly WARNING: Refer to Halogen Bulb Warning . Procedure Gently pull forward the headlamp assembly. Disconnect the forward lamp harness electrical connector from the headlamp assembly electrical connector. Remove the headlamp from vehicle. Transfer the headlamp electrical harness with bulb sockets as needed. Aim the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Aiming .

3Headlamp Assembly Procedure: Pull outward on the housing in order to disconnect the electrical connection at the lower rear edge of the lamp.
4Electrical Harness Connector Procedure: Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp assembly.

WARNING: The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. Never probe between the high intensity discharge system ballast output connector and the arc tube assembly. Preliminary Procedure: Remove the wheelhouse liner in order to access the backside of the headlamp capsule. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement (Enclave - Acadia) .
1Headlamp Accessory Bulb Cover Tip: Rotate the cover a quarter turn counter-clockwise and remove. Disconnect the wire clip securing the starter arc tube to the headlamp capsule assembly.
2Headlamp Starter/Arc Tube WARNING: Refer to Halogen Bulb Warning . Procedure Pull the starter arc tube from the capsule assembly. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the arc tube from the capsule assembly.
3Starter Arc Tube Electrical Connector Tip: Connect the electrical connector prior to installing the starter arc tube back into the headlamp capsule.

1Headlamp Bulb and Ballast Locking Ring Procedure: Shown in the locked position, using your 2 fingers, rotate the locking ring counter-clockwise to unlock the bulb and ballast.
2Headlamp Bulb and Ballast Locking Ring Procedure Position and secure the electrical wire harness connector to the headlamp bulb and ballast. Position and secure the headlamp ballast and bulb assembly to the headlamp. Rotate the locking ring in a clockwise position in order to secure the ballast and bulb assembly to the headlamp capsule.
