Suspension Front 2 illustrations ~103 words

DESCRIPTION

The front suspension is a MacPherson strut gas-pressurized type. The strut assembly includes a rubber isolated top mount, seat and bearing assembly and a coil spring insulator. The top of the strut assembly mounts to the body side apron. The lower strut assembly fits into a pinch joint, designed into the steering knuckle. A link assembly runs between the strut and stabilizer bar end. A forged lower control arm attaches to subframe and steering knuckle at lower ball joint. On 1998 models, a tension strut connects to lower arm and subframe. (Scheme 1)or (Scheme 2).
