DOOR GLASS
- Remove door trim panel and watershield. See «DOOR TRIM»(ref-138006-S41327330892002050700000).
- Lower door glass approximately 75mm (3 inches) from full-up position.
- Loosen nut and washer assemblies retaining the equalizer bracket to door inner panel. (Scheme 8)
- Loosen nut and washer assembly retaining door glass stabilizer.
- With door open, place hands on each side of glass and pull glass fully into door glass run assembly at B-pillar.
- Apply a downward pressure on the equalizer bracket and tighten nut and washer to 9-14 N. m (7-10 Ft. Lbs.).
- Set door glass stabilizer so that it is slightly touching glass and tighten nut and washer assembly to 9-14 N. m (7-10 Ft. Lbs.).
- Cycle door glass to ensure proper operation.

Open In Power & Ground Circuits
- Check power window circuit breaker. See «CIRCUIT BREAKER»(ref-138006-S38608255412002040100000) under COMPONENT TESTS.
- Check for voltage at R/LB wire at left and right power window switches. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-138006-S05759764932002031500000) . Repair as necessary.
Inoperative Left Power Window Switch
- Check continuity of BK wire between switch and ground bus G300. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-138006-S05759764932002031500000) .
- If continuity is good, then check power window switch. See «POWER WINDOW SWITCH»(ref-138006-S31419336232002040100000) under COMPONENT TESTS.
Inoperative Window Switch
Check continuity of window switch. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH under COMPONENT TESTS.
Inoperative Window Motor
- Check continuity of Y, W/BK, W/Y, and T/LB wires between motors and switches. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-138006-S05759764932002031500000) . Repair wiring as necessary.
- Check continuity of black wire between power window main switch and ground. See «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-138006-S05759764932002031500000) . Repair wiring as necessary.
CIRCUIT BREAKER
Note. Information for testing power window in-line circuit breaker NOT available from manufacturer. If circuit breaker malfunction is suspected, replace unit with a NEW or known good unit. See IN-LINE CIRCUIT BREAKER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
POWER WINDOW SWITCH
Note. Use a self-powered test lamp or an ohmmeter such as Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter 007-00001 or equivalent to test the power window switch.
Master Switch
- With the switch in the NEUTRAL position, there should be continuity between terminals 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6. (Scheme 9)
- When the ribbed portions of the switch rocker knobs are pushed (to close the windows), there should be continuity between terminals 1, 2, and 3 and terminals 4, 5 and 6.
- When the flat portions of the switch rocker knobs are pushed (to open the windows), there should be continuity between terminals 1, 3 and 5 and terminals 2, 4 and 6.
- If the switch assembly does not test as outlined, replace the switch.

Passenger Switch
Note. The switch should be oriented so that the ribbed portion of the switch knob is to the right and you are looking at the five terminals.
- With the switch in the NEUTRAL position, there should be continuity between terminals 1 and 2 and terminals 3 and 4. Terminal 5 should be disconnected from all other terminals. (Scheme 10)
- When the ribbed portion of the switch rocker knob is pushed (to close the windows), there should be continuity between terminals 1 and 5 and terminals 3 and 4. Terminal 2 should be disconnected from all other terminals.
- When the flat portion of the switch rocker knob is pushed (to open the windows), there should be continuity between terminals 1 and 2 and terminals 4 and 5. Terminal 3 should be disconnected from all other terminals.
- If the switch assembly does not test as outlined, replace the switch.

POWER WINDOW MOTOR
- Connect an external power source (power-pac or a fully charged battery) to the motor with an ammeter such as Rotunda Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (007-00001) or equivalent, in series. (Scheme 11)
- Operate the motor and observe the current draw. The current draw for the no-load test should not exceed specification and should not fluctuate. Reversal of the motor wire connections will reverse the direction of motor rotation. Replace the motor if the current draw exceeds 5 amps at 12.8 volts
