SERVICE ENGINE SOON WARNING LIGHT
The SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning light indicates malfunctions in the electronic engine control system. WHEN functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition switch is turned to the ON position and goes out after engine starts. If light fails to glow with ignition switch on or remains on when running, a service need is indicated.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
The BRAKE warning light indicates that either the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low. The light should come on briefly when ignition switch is turned to the ON position and goes out after engine is started, and the parking brake is released. If the light stays on, servicing is needed.
CHARGING SYSTEM LIGHT
This light, shown as a battery symbol on the cluster, indicates that the battery is not being charged and the electrical system needs to be checked. This light comes on when the ignition key is turned to ON position, and should go off when the engine starts and alternator begins to charge.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
The AIR BAG warning light indicates a malfunction in the Air Bag system. When working correctly, the light should come on momentarily after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. If the light fails to illuminate, continues to flash, remains on continuously or a warning tone is heard, servicing is needed.
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT
Indicates low oil pressure, not low oil level, however low oil level could affect oil pressure and should be checked immediately. Even if oil level is correct, vehicle should not be operated if this warning light is illuminated.
