- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(/ford/taurus/vi-2009-2012/remont/hoistjack/#jacking-lifting) .
- Remove the 2 front bumper cover pin-type retainers.
- Remove the 4 front bumper cover bolts.
- Remove the 6 fender splash shield screws.
- Remove the 7 lower air deflector bolts.
- If equipped, disconnect the auxiliary park lamps electrical connector.
- Remove the front bumper cover.
- Reposition the fender splash and remove the 2 bumper cover-to-bumper cover bracket scrivets.
- Inspect the bumper cover mounting brackets for damage at the attachment points. If necessary, install new bumper cover mounting brackets.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.

- Remove the front bumper cover. For additional information, refer to «BUMPER COVER - FRONT»(ref-355751-S30971002702010012800000) .
- Remove the ambient air temperature sensor from the front bumper, if equipped.
- Remove the radiator air deflector lower pin-type retainer.
- If equipped, drill out the 2 tack welds on each side of the front bumper.
- Remove the front bumper bolts. To install, tighten to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
- Remove the front bumper.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
