Symptom checks cannot be used properly unless problem occurs while vehicle is being tested. To reduce diagnostic time, ensure steps in the BASIC TESTING - 3.8L and in the appropriate TESTS W/CODES - EEC-V (3.8L) articles were performed before diagnosing a symptom. - Check voltage at A/C clutch.
- Connect A/C manifold gauges, perform A/C system function test.
Check the following items

- Ensure that voltage at A/C clutch is less than 2 volts with A/C switch off. If voltage is 2 volts or more, go to step 1) of CIRCUIT TEST X.

INTERMITTENT PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS
