| 2 | Rear video camera |
| 3 | IPMB (vehicles built on or before May 12, 2013) |
Overview
The rear view camera system visually aids the driver while reversing or reverse parking the vehicle. When reverse gear is selected, the rear video camera image is displayed on either the 8 in (203.2 mm) touchscreen or 4.2 in (106.68 mm) centerstack infotainment display, depending on vehicle equipment. Refer to the Owner's Literature for additional information on operating the video camera system features.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
Refer to: PARKING AID - SYSTEM OPERATION AND COMPONENT DESCRIPTION.
Vehicles built on or before May 12, 2013 are equipped with an IPMB to communicate with the rear video camera. Vehicles built on or after May 13, 2013 are not equipped with an IPMB and use the BCM to communicate with the rear video camera.
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| C1001:01 | Vision System Camera: General Electrical Failure | Sets in continuous memory if no video signal is detected from the rear video camera for 3 seconds or more when the key is on and the gear selector is in reverse. Sets on-demand if no video signal is detected from the rear video camera for 1 second or more during the APIM self-test. |

| C1001:01 | Vision System Camera: General Electrical Failure | Sets in continuous memory if no video signal is detected from the rear video camera for 3 seconds or more when the key is on and the gear selector is in reverse. Sets on-demand if no video signal is detected from the rear video camera for 3 seconds or more during the FCDIM self-test. |
FCDIM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B115E:08 | Camera Module: Bus Signal/Message Failure | Sets in continuous memory in the IPMB when there is a LIN communication fault from the rear video camera. |
IPMB DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
The video camera transmits the video signal on twisted pair, shielded wires to help reduce interference. A compromise of the integrity of the camera ground circuit, video signal circuits or video shield circuit can affect the quality of the image.

| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| B12BD:83 | Rear Camera: Value of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect | Sets in continuous memory when the BCM detects that a message received from the video camera on the LIN communication circuit does not match the associated checksum. |
| B12BD:86 | Rear Camera: Signal Invalid | Sets in continuous memory when the BCM detects an invalid message from the video camera on the LIN communication circuit. |
| U0264:87 | Lost Communication With Camera Module - Rear: Missing Message | Sets in continuous memory when the BCM cannot communicate with the video camera via the LIN circuit. |
BCM DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS
The IPMB communicates with the BCM through the MS-CAN .
