Normal Operation
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch receives power through circuit 956 (OG/LG) and ground through circuit 1205 (BK). The exterior mirror control switch uses circuit 945 (YE/BK) as the common circuit for both exterior mirror up/down and right/left movement.
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch uses circuit 945 (YE/BK) as the common circuit for both exterior mirror UP/DOWN and RIGHT/LEFT movement.
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch uses circuits 942 (RD/OG), 940 (DB/OG), 945 (YE/BK), 944 (DG/OG) or 943 (PK/OG) to control the exterior mirror movement.
- When ground is received through circuit 942 (RD/OG) or 944 (DG/OG) and power through circuit 945 (YE/BK), the LH or RH exterior mirror glass will move LEFT.
- When power is received through circuit 942 (RD/OG) or 944 (DG/OG) and ground through circuit 945 (YE/BK), the LH or RH exterior mirror glass will move RIGHT.
- When power is received through circuit 940 (DB/OG) or 943 (PK/OG) and ground through circuit 945 (YE/BK), the LH or RH exterior mirror glass will move UP.
- When ground is received through circuit 940 (DB/OG) or 943 (PK/OG) and power through circuit 945 (YE/BK), the LH or RH exterior mirror will operate DOWN.
Under normal operation, the exterior mirror control switch receives power from circuit 956 (OG/LG) and ground from circuit 1205 (BK). The exterior mirror control switch sends input to the driver seat module (DSM) for the LH exterior mirror by switching power and ground to circuits 942 (RD/OG), 940 (DB/OG) and 945 (YE/BK) and for the RH exterior mirror by switching power and ground to circuits 944 (DG/OG), 943 (PK/OG) and 945 (YE/BK). The DSM will then send the appropriate power and ground for the LH exterior mirror motor UP/DOWN circuits 1486 (YE/LB), 1487 (DB) and LEFT/RIGHT circuits 1485 (RD) and 1484 (YE/RD) or the RH exterior mirror motor UP/DOWN circuits 1482 (PK), 1483 (WH/PK) and LEFT/RIGHT circuits 1480 (WH/LG) and 1481 (DG).
- DTC B1667 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 1486 (YE/LB) or circuit 1487 (DB).
- DTC B1668 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 1485 (RD) or circuit 1484 (YE/RD).
- DTC B1669 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 1482 (PK) or circuit 1483 (WH/PK).
- DTC B2312 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 954 (DG/WH).
- DTC B2314 will set if the DSM senses circuit 954 (DG/WH) is shorted to battery voltage.
- DTC B2316 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 957 (VT/WH).
- DTC B2318 will set if the DSM senses circuit 957 (VT/WH) is shorted to battery voltage.
- DTC B2320 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 949 (RD/WH).
- DTC B2322 will set if the DSM senses circuit 949 (RD/WH) is shorted to battery voltage.
- DTC B2324 will set if the DSM senses low voltage at circuit 951 (DB/WH).
- DTC B2326 will set if the DSM senses circuit 951 (DB/WH) is shorted to battery voltage.
Under normal operation, the memory set switch receives ground from circuits 1205 (BK) and 1203 (BK/LB). When the driver seat module (DSM) receives input from the memory set button circuit 270 (BN/OG), the DSM will save current mirror settings using the inputs from the position sensors in the exterior mirrors. When the DSM receives input from the memory set switch button 1, circuit 267 (BR/LG) or button 2, circuit 268 (BK/OG) the DSM will adjust the mirrors according to the stored position.
The DSM receives input on the position of the LH exterior mirror from circuits 951 (DB/WH), 891 (GY/RD), 949 (RD/WH) and 894 (GY) and from the RH exterior mirror from circuits 954 (DG/WH), 957 (PK/WH), 891 (GY/RD) and 958 (GY/RD).
Under normal operation, when the rear window defrost is ON the exterior mirrors receive power from the heated grid relay through circuit 59 (DG/VT) and ground through circuit 1205 (BK).
Under normal operation, the auto-dimming mirror receives power from circuit 1004 (LB/RD) and ground from circuit 1203 (BK). If the vehicle is placed in REVERSE, voltage is sent to circuit 1367 (WH/YE) and the auto-dimming mirror will turn the dimming feature off.
