Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the 4 transaxle roll restrictor brace bolts. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 55 N.m (41 lb-ft).
  2. Remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor brace. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 48 N.m (35 lb-ft).
  3. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module vacuum tube and electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the EGR system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting. To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).
  5. Remove the 2 bolts and the EGR system module. To install, tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb-ft).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to «JACKING & LIFTING»(ref-255244) .
  2. Remove the 4 transaxle roll restrictor brace bolts. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 55 N.m (41 lb-ft).
  3. Remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor brace. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 48 N.m (35 lb-ft).
  4. Disconnect the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system module-to-EGR system module tube fitting. To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).
  5. Disconnect the EGR system module tube-to-RH exhaust manifold fitting and remove the tube. To install, tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb-ft).
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Remove the 4 transaxle roll restrictor brace bolts. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 55 N.m (41 lb-ft).
  2. Remove the bolt and the transaxle roll restrictor brace. To install, clean the bolts using a wire brush, apply new threadlock to the threads and tighten to 48 N.m (35 lb-ft).
  3. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) valve tube from the PCV valve.
  4. If equipped, disconnect the PCV valve electrical connector.
  5. Rotate the PCV valve counterclockwise to remove from the valve cover.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
