Scheme 5

1. Refer to: «DRIVER AIRBAG»(/ford/focus/iii-2011-2015/remont/airbag/#supplemental-restraint-system-electric) .
2. NOTE: Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position. Torque : 48 Nm
3. NOTE: Make sure that the clockspring rotor does not rotate. NOTE: Make sure that the clockspring pins are not bent or damaged. General Equipment : Adhesive Tape
4. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component. Torque : 3 Nm

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Note. To prevent damage to the clockspring, make sure the front wheels are in the straight-ahead position.

1. Refer to: «STEERING WHEEL»(ref-566975-S05172697742013071700000) .
2. NOTE: Steering column without push button start shown in illustration, steering column with push button start similar.
3. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations. Torque : 28 Nm
4. NOTE: The deployable steering column electrical connector retaining tabs are not easily accessible. Using an inspection mirror and needle-nose pliers, or equivalent, may help in viewing and releasing the electrical connector retaining tabs. If equipped.
5. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations. Torque : 28 Nm

1. NOTE: Transfer parts as needed. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
