Rear View Mirror: Removal & Installation Ford Focus II рестайлинг

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

Note. Do not remove the exterior mirror assembly when repairing an individual part. Individual components can be installed without removing the exterior mirror.

1. Remove the front door trim panel. For additional information, refer to «INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION»(ref-357184) article.
2. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector.
3. Remove the 3 exterior mirror bolts. To install, tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
4. Remove the exterior mirror.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

REMOVAL

1. Position the exterior mirror glass to the full down position.
2. Pull outward on the upper exterior mirror glass to release the upper locking tabs from the exterior mirror motor.
3. Pivot the exterior mirror glass downward.
4. Remove the mirror glass from the exterior mirror motor. Pull the exterior mirror glass outward. If equipped, disconnect the electrical connectors from the exterior mirror glass.

INSTALLATION

1. If equipped, connect the electrical connectors onto the exterior mirror glass.
2. Install the lower exterior mirror glass onto the mirror motor.
3. Pivot the exterior mirror glass upward.
4. Place a hand against the exterior mirror glass and press the exterior mirror glass onto the exterior mirror motor until the exterior mirror glass is fully seated.

1. Remove the exterior mirror glass. For additional information, refer to «Exterior Mirror Glass»(ref-357178-S04236603822010030800000) .
2. Remove the exterior mirror motor screw.
3. With a flat-blade tool, release the 3 exterior mirror retaining tabs.
4. Remove the exterior mirror motor. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector.
5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

1. Remove the exterior mirror glass. For additional information, refer to «Exterior Mirror Glass»(ref-357178-S04236603822010030800000) .
2. Release the 5 exterior mirror cover retaining tabs.
3. Remove the exterior mirror cover. Pull the exterior mirror outward.
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Note. Auto-dimming mirror shown in illustration, base mirror similar.

Scheme 20

1. If equipped, remove the wire cover.
2. If equipped, remove the compass by pulling downward on the compass.
3. If equipped, disconnect the auto-dimming mirror electrical connector.
4. Insert the special tool between the mirror mount and windshield bracket from the bottom.
5. Release the mirror mount from the windshield bracket by pulling the tool away from the windshield.

1. Slide the mirror mount over the windshield bracket from the top and adjust the mirror to the up position.
2. Using the special tool, press the mirror assembly downward along the windshield until the mount is fully seated onto the windshield bracket.
3. If equipped, connect the auto-dimming mirror electrical connector.
4. If equipped, install the compass and wire cover.
