Side and Rear Vision: Removal & Installation Ford Explorer V

Removal

NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation. Upload the module configuration information from the SOD-L or SOD-R into the scan tool by following the scan tool on screen instructions.
Remove the rear bumper cover. REFER to «BUMPER COVER - REAR»(ref-517604-S41186539882012121200000) .
Remove the SOD-L or SOD-R . Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the SOD-L or SOD-R bolt.

Install the SOD-L or SOD-R . Install the SOD-L or SOD-R bolt. Tighten to 3 Nm (27 lb-in). Connect the electrical connector.
Install the rear bumper cover. REFER to «BUMPER COVER - REAR»(ref-517604-S41186539882012121200000) .
If installing a new module, download the module configuration information from the scan tool to the new SOD-L or SOD-R by following the scan tool on screen instructions.
