Normal Operation
The ignition switch receives overload protected B+ power from the BJB fuse 41 (30A) through circuit 37 (YE). The ignition switch has three possible states
- OFF.
- ACC/RUN.
- START.
The ignition switch ACC/RUN circuit sends 12 volts through 687 (GY/YE) (on the CJB input side fuse 15 [5A]) and circuit 295 (LB/PK) (on the CJB output side fuse 15 [5A]) to the instrument cluster. The ignition switch RUN/START circuit sends 12 volts through 16 (RD/LG) (on the CJB input side fuse 30 [5A]) and circuit 489 (PK/BK) (on the CJB output side fuse 30 [5A]) to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster monitors the output voltage from the ignition circuit and if an open circuit is detected, DTC B1360 will be set.
