CHECK ENGINE OR ENGINE WARNING LIGHT
The CHECK ENGINE or ENGINE warning light indicates malfunctions in the electronic engine control system. When functioning correctly, the light comes on when ignition is turned on and goes out after engine starts. If light fails to come on with ignition on or remains on with engine running, a service need is indicated.
BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHT
The BRAKE warning light indicates that the parking brake is on or the brake fluid level is low. The light should come on briefly when ignition is turned on and the parking brake is released. If the light stays on, servicing is needed.
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT OR TONE
The air bag warning light indicates a malfunction in the air bag system. When working correctly, the light should come on momentarily after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position. If the light fails to come on briefly, remains on while driving, or emits a tone, servicing is needed.
GRAPHIC DISPLAY WARNING INDICATOR
This graphic display warning system indicates a problem with either the taillights, headlights, or brakelights, or that there is a shortage of fuel or washer fluid.
