Removal and Installation

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to «BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES»(ref-232248) .
2. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
3. Remove the 3 bolts and release the accelerator pedal from the locating/retaining tabs on the lower RH corner of the accelerator pedal mounting bracket. To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
4. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Verify that the accelerator pedal and sensor assembly is engaged in the locating/retaining tabs of the accelerator pedal mounting bracket prior to installing the bolts.
