C2: Check Power Steering Fluid
Check the level and condition of the power steering fluid. Is the power steering fluid level OK? If yes, go to the next step. If no, add specified power steering fluid. Tighten all connections to specification, see TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS , and bleed system as necessary. See POWER STEERING SYSTEM BLEEDING under ADJUSTMENTS & INSPECTION.
FLUID LEAK
| CAUTION | Do not hold the steering wheel against the stops for an extended period of time. Damage to the pump can occur. |
- With engine idling, turn steering wheel left to right several times from lock to lock. Check all possible leakage points.
- Tighten all loose fittings to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-141727-S24076137292002070900000) . Replace damaged lines and seals.
