POWER MIRRORS
Power side view mirror system consists of mirror head with integral servo motor assembly and mirror control switch. Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis may be equipped with an optional electronic rear view mirror, which automatically adjusts to reduce glare during night driving.
The optional electronic rear view mirror is controlled by 2 light-sensitive photocells. Outside light level is measured by a sensor on backside of mirror housing. A second sensor, located inside the mirror, detects approaching rear lights. The mirror locks in normal position whenever transmission gear selector is placed in Reverse position.
Depressing side view mirror control switch push button, marked with arrows indicating adjustment directions, moves mirror up, down, left and right. A selector switch controls which mirror is adjusted. Selector switch should be placed in neutral position after adjustment.
