REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| WARNING | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in section GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
Disconnect wiring connectors at mirror and automatic dimmer (if equipped). Loosen mirror mounting set screw. Slide mirror upward, away from bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove door trim panel. Remove screw retaining mirror mounting hole cover, and remove cover. Remove front door glass defroster plenum (if equipped). Disconnect mirror assembly wiring connector. Remove mirror attaching screws. Remove mirror assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Point mirror glass as far inboard as possible to allow finger clearance at outboard edge of mirror. Insert fingers into clearance, and pull mirror glass. Glass will snap out without being damaged. Remove motor attaching screws. Disconnect motor connector, and remove motor. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Disconnect negative battery cable. Carefully pry side mirror switch from instrument panel trim panel. Unplug harness connector and remove switch. To install, reverse removal procedure.
