THERMOSTAT
Thermostat, located in water outlet elbow, has an opening temperature of 192°F (89°C) on 4-cylinder and V8 engines, 197°F (92°C) on 6-cylinder engines and 180°F (82°C) on V8 diesel engines.
PRESSURE CAP
All models use 13 psi (.9 kg/cm 2 ) pressure cap which should be tested at 10-14 psi (.7-1.0 kg/cm 2 ).
WATER PUMP
If wear or damage exists, water pump unit replacement is recommended. Do not attempt to overhaul or repair pump.
MAINTENANCE
Vehicle maintenance schedule "B" or (B) is on glovebox and engine Emission Control Information Decal. Check coolant condition annually. Drain, clean, flush and refill system if dirt or rust impairs cooling ability. Hoses and clamps should be inspected every 3 years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.

COOLANT CAPACITY
