REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION Section before disconnecting battery. |
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove adjuster attaching bolts and nuts from floor pan. Move seat position adjuster for access. Disconnect wiring harness at carpet. Remove seat assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove seat assembly. See SEAT ASSEMBLY . Remove motor mounting screws. Carefully disconnect housing and cables from motor assembly. Remove bolt holding motor in position. To install, reverse removal procedure.
Remove seat assembly. See SEAT ASSEMBLY. Remove 2 seat back mounting screws and 4 seat track mounting screws. (Scheme 1) Remove track from seat. To install, reverse removal procedure.

Transmissions are not removable or serviceable. If transmission fails, replace seat position adjuster.
