OIL WARNING LIGHT
Light indicates low oil pressure, but does not indicate amount of oil in engine.
BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on when parking brake is applied. It will also illuminate if fluid in brake system is low.
Note. Disc brakes are equipped with alarm device; when brake pads are almost worn to the service limit, this device will produce a metallic frictional sound (squeal) while driving. If such sound is produced, replace brake pads.
EGR OR MAINTENANCE REQUIRED WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on every 50,000 miles as a maintenance service reminder for the emission control system. Light is not available on all models.
ALTERNATOR WARNING LIGHT
Light comes on briefly as a bulb check during engine starting. If it remains on or comes on while driving, it indicates a problem with the alternator system.
REAR ANTI-LOCK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT (IF EQUIPPED)
Light comes on if a malfunction exists in rear anti-lock brake system.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION OIL TEMPERATURE WARNING LIGHT
The automatic transmission warning light comes on if ATF temperature is abnormally high.
CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT
This light comes on if an exhaust gas-related component malfunctions, and emission requirements are not satisfied. Light is designed to come on briefly as a bulb check when ignition switch is turned to ON position. If light does not come on as described or comes on while driving, have system checked and serviced.
