BELT ADJUSTMENT
Belts should be adjusted to proper tension using belt tension gauge. See BELT ADJUSTMENT SPECIFICATIONS table. Some models may be equipped with a automatic belt tensioner to maintain belt tension. Ensure serpentine belts are routed properly. (Scheme 1)- (Scheme 3).
Note. Cracking across serpentine belt rib surfaces is considered normal wear. Serpentine belt must be replaced if cracks run parallel to rib area.
