  1. Position transmission and transfer case into Neutral.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Remove exhaust crossover pipe.
  4. Mark a line across the axle companion flange and propeller shaft flange yoke (Scheme 4) for installation reference.
  5. Remove companion flange bolts.
  6. Remove dust boot clamp (Scheme 5) from the C/V joint end of the shaft.
  7. Remove propeller shaft.
