The EVAP canister purge solenoid (1) is located near the battery (2).
Scheme 4
- Lift the solenoid assembly (1) from the tongue-type bracket (2).
- Disconnect electrical connector (5).
- Disconnect quick-connect fittings (3) and (4) from solenoid.

TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

The EGR valve (5) is located at the rear of the intake manifold (7).
Scheme 6
- Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.
- Remove plastic engine cover.
- Relieve cooling system pressure and remove EGR cooler (8). Refer to «COOLING»(ref-306154) article for removal procedures .
- Remove vacuum line from fitting (6).
- Remove EGR valve mounting bolts (8) and remove EGR valve (5) from intake manifold.
- Remove and discard old mounting gasket located between EGR valve and intake manifold.
- Clean mounting areas at bottom of valve and at top of intake manifold.
