DESCRIPTION
Heater unit housing is divided into two sides. Left side is called air distribution module. On right side is a blower module. Air distribution module contains heater core and doors used to control air flow.
System pulls outside air through cowl opening at base of windshield. It goes into plenum chamber above heater unit housing. Temperature control door in plenum chamber directs incoming air either through or past heater core. Airflow can be directed from panel, floor and defrost outlets in various combinations using mode selector. There are 17 different mode selections possible. Airflow velocity can be adjusted with blower speed selector switch on instrument panel.
