REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
| CAUTION | When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery. |
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Loosen, but DO NOT remove generator adjustment nut. Raise and support vehicle with front wheels turned fully to right. Remove plastic lower splash shield. Disconnect generator feed circuit connector by pushing Red locking tab. (Схема №2) Remove BAT terminal nut and wire.
- Loosen, but DO NOT remove, pivot bolt. Remove generator drive belt (generator spill shield does not need to be removed). Remove 3 mounting pivot bracket bolts. Remove pivot bolt and bracket. Holding generator in one hand, remove adjustment nut and slide generator off "T" bolt ("T" bolt does not need to be removed).
- Lower generator and remove through wheel well. Tighten generator drive belt to proper specification. See «BELT TENSION»(ref-58661-S14531221292001011700000) under ADJUSTMENTS. Tighten all fasteners to specification. See «TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS»(ref-58661-S41574022292001011700000).
